Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve smooth rotation of an electric motor and improve a responsibility of a control system by adjusting an oscillation compensation amount according whether an actual rotation direction detected by a direction detecting means agrees or disagrees with a target driving direction of the electric motor. CONSTITUTION: A direction detecting means 1d, 5 detects an actual rotation direction of an electric motor 1 including a change in a rotation direction due to very small oscillation of a rotor during rotation. An oscillation controlling means 11 generates different oscillation compensation amounts according whether an actual rotation direction of the electric motor detected by direction detecting means agrees or disagrees with a target driving direction of the electric motor. According to the oscillation compensation amounts, motor energizing means 16a, 6, 7, 17, 18, 19, and 1A energize the electric motor. By adjusting the oscillation compensation amounts based on the agreement or disagreement of the rotation direction of the motor and the driving direction of the motor, backward rotation is prevented. As a result, by increasing the driving torque at the time when the actual rotation direction is opposite to the driving direction due to oscillation, the duration of backward rotation is shortened and oscillation can be prevented.
